Behind the lens of the Helios 640 2-16x42 (30 Hz) you can find the (uncooled, 17 micrometer) 640 x 512 pixel microbolometer refreshing the image at 30Hz.
The measurements of this thermal bi-ocular read 238 x 100 x 62mm (l/w/h) and the scale reads 800 grams. It's protected against dust, shocks, water (splashes) and submersion under water. It handles temperatures between -40°C and 50°C.
