Description
The S236 spots a clear 35mm objective lens collecting thermal radiation. The default field of view on this thermal monocular measures 7.5 by 5.7 degrees. It has a 4 times digital zoom to enlarge (parts of) the image.
Behind the lens of the S236 you can find the (uncooled, 12 micrometer) 384 x 288 pixel microbolometer refreshing the image at 50Hz. The NETD of this thermal monocular is <40mK and it's operating within the 8µm - 14µm infrared wavelengths.
The measurements of this thermal monocular read 220 x 97 x 60mm (l/w/h) and the scale reads 580 grams. This device is rated IP66. It's protected against dust, shocks and water (splashes). It handles temperatures between -20°C and 50°C.
The S236 can be utilized in surveillance, hunting trips, law enforcement (police, border patrol etc.) and SAR (Search and Rescue) operations.
