ThermalBase is looking for your support!
It has been a long journey; first operating under the name NVDB (nightvisiondatabase.com) and later we transitioned towards thermal only with ThermalBase. Our goal was and stays the same. Giving you, our readers an unbiased and easy to navigate overview on what's available on the thermal imaging market and continue giving you detailed device reviews. The platform has always been independent with no links to specific manufacturers.

However, this independence comes with a price as well. Luckily, we've been in the position to test some great devices ranging from hobby thermals to full blown military devices while keep working on expanding our device library. But the devices we want to test we normally just have to buy just like anyone else, albeit sometimes with a discount, depending on the manufacturer. Since we do not make any profit from all of this it's a very costly hobby and quite frankly barely sustainable.

That's why we decided to reach out to you, our valued reader. This is what we're looking for:

  • Test devices (even partialy damaged, faulty or out-of-production devices)
  • New manufacturers who want to have their devices listed
  • Links to our site
  • Partnerships with stores
  • Investors who see the potential of this platform
  • Donations to buy and test new devices

Everything is open and up for discussion really. Even if you're not interested in any of this yourself, maybe you know someone who might be and we hope you will spread the word.

Meanwhile we keep on working hard to make sure ThermalBase keeps being the largest independent thermal imaging catalogue so you can always find a device which suits you best.

Thank you very much for your valuable time.

Kind regards,
Mark
