It houses a clear 30mm objective lens collecting thermal radiation. The default field of view on this thermal scope measures 21 by 16 degrees. It has a 12 times digital zoom to enlarge (parts of) the image. It has an eye relief distance of 65mm.
Behind the lens of the ThOR-640 1.5X-12X (30Hz) you can find the (uncooled) 640 x 512 pixel microbolometer refreshing the image at 30Hz. The NETD of this thermal scope is <50mK and it's operating within the 7µm - 14µm infrared wavelengths.
The measurements of this thermal scope read 171 x 69 x 73mm (l/w/h) and the scale reads 710 grams. It's protected against dust, shocks, water (splashes) and submersion under water.
The ThOR-640 1.5X-12X (30Hz) can be utilized in surveillance, hunting trips, law enforcement (police, border patrol etc.) and tactical operations.
